Former Convict Caught With 2 Guns After Pursuit In Bristol: Cops

A former convict who had two illegal guns was arrested last week after a foot pursuit in Bristol Borough, police announced. Jared Aichelle, 35, of Bristol Township was arrested Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. after a motor vehicle stop at Dorrance and Canal streets.

Aichell was being interviewed by police outside his car when an officer observed a handgun holster inside his vehicle. After a pat down, an officer found a handgun under Aichelle's jacket.

Aichelle then attempted to escape from police; the officer got control of the gun but the suspect broke free. After a foot pursuit, he was taken into custody by officers from Bristol borough and township.

A second handgun was also located his car.

Aichelle was arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $350,000.00. Aichelle was then transferred to Bucks County Prison.
