Former Teacher From Levittown Jailed For Sex With Student
A former math teacher from Levittown will serve jail time for having a sexual relationship with a Council Rock student.

A former teacher from Levittown who taught math at Council Rock High School North has been sentenced for having a sexual relationship with a student in 2015 and 2016.
Jesse Oberto, 38, was sentenced Friday to one to 23 months in jail after admitting he had sexual contact with the student, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. Oberto was charged last July by Newtown Township Police.
The district confirmed he worked as a teacher for the school district from 2003 through 2015.

District officials said they were not notified of or aware of the relationship between Oberto and the student until June of 2017 year after the police investigation was underway.
"Council Rock has cooperated fully with local police and will continue to do so. Our students' safety and welfare is our highest priority and we are shocked and disturbed to learn of these allegations," the district said when the charges were filed.

The investigation began after a tip to the Bucks County Children & Youth Childline hotline, police said.
