Friday Morning Falls Twp. Accident Kills One: Police

A woman driving a Nissan Altima died after colliding head-on with another vehicle Friday morning on Lincoln Highway in Falls Township, Falls Township Police said.

According to police, the woman was pronounced dead after being taken to Aria Hospital.

The Bucks County Intelligencer reports the woman is from Bristol Township.

Police said the accident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. on Lincoln Highway, about 200 yard north of Tyburn Road.

A white Nissan Altima heading south on the highway crossed into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons and headed into the northbound lane where it collided with a Mercury Mountaineer heading north on the highway, police said.

The crash occurred on the northbound lane's shoulder against the guardrail, police said.

Police said the Mercury's driver, who the Bucks County Intelligencer reports as Cynthia Ottinger of Falls, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles, police said.
