When police entered the home, the man climbed from a window onto the second-story roof.

Police pleaded with the man again, asking him not to jump, as he would certainly injure his ankle.

The man jumped off the roof into a neighboring yard. Police said he injured an ankle doing so.

He was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for treatment and medical clearance for
incarceration.

Police did not reveal why the man was a fugitive from justice and what his past criminal record was.
