MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Gov. Josh Shapiro made a stop at Maple Point Middle School Friday morning, sharing breakfast with students and answering questions.

The governor was on hand to tout the state's free breakfast program, which was funded with the recent approval of the budget.

The Neshaminy School District said that Shapiro visited to highlight the Commonwealth's free breakfast program for all students during the 2023-2024 school year.

He was greeted by the Maple Point Student Council, school and district administrators, several Neshaminy School Board members, and local state legislators.

The governor and the legislators spent an hour with a group of fifth and sixth graders as they ate breakfast, chatting about the meal program, how their school year is going so far, offering advice, and answering their questions.
