Gunshots Fired After Driver Dispute In Falls Township

Falls Township Police are investigating the incident Tuesday evening on Route 1 near the Fairless Hills exit.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —The Falls Township Police Department is investigating a dispute between motorists Tuesday that led to gunfire.

Falls Township Police said a preliminary investigation determined that at 5:15 p.m., an 18-year-old resident was driving on northbound Route 1 in the area of the Fairless Hills exit.

He switched lanes and passed a dark gray Nissan Pickup Truck, operated by a man who appeared to be in his 50s, having a black beard, and wearing a baseball cap and a black shirt.

Following the lane change, the Nissan driver accelerated and drove parallel to the victim during which time he brandished a revolver, police said.

The driver then positioned himself behind the victim's vehicle and fired his handgun, striking the victim's right rear passenger tire.

He then headed northbound on Route 1. The victim did not sustain any injuries, police said.
