Habitat Bucks Makes an Impact through Home Renovation
Habitat Holds Home Dedication Ceremony Open to the Public

Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County would like to invite all of our friends and neighbors to attend a very special home dedication ceremony welcoming a family to their new Habitat home on December 12th, 4:30pm, at 97 Mill Drive, Levittown, PA.
“Every child deserves a decent place to grow up,” said Florence Kawoczka, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County. “Thanks to our many volunteers and our home sponsors, Parx Casino and BB&T, nine-year-old Aaron and his brothers are going to get that chance.”
“Aaron and his family currently live in a cramped basement apartment with six people sharing two bedrooms. Aaron and his three brothers don’t have a quiet space where they can do homework, recharge, dream and grow,” said Kawoczka. “This family has always done everything they can to provide a healthy home. They were frustrated that even though they work hard, a house of their own still seemed so far out of reach.”

Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County’s Homeownership Program provided a hand-up to Aaron’s family. After investing more than 150 hours of sweat equity building alongside staff and volunteers, they’ll purchase their three-bedroom home with an affordable zero-interest Habitat mortgage.
Right here in Bucks County there are children who endure the effects of living in overcrowded, unhealthy and unsafe housing. Habitat Bucks is accomplishing their goal of having an even greater, faster impact through renovation (ReHabitat) of existing homes. Home renovations are usually completed in one third less time than it takes to build a new home.
