The Penndel Volunteer Fire Company battled a house fire and a car fire in Middletown Township to start the weekend.
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —A house fire and car fire kept the Penndel Volunteer Fire Company busy to start the weekend.
Fire Company Station 8 assisted the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Station 21/22 with a fire house fire.
Fire officials said that at 10:30 p.m. Friday the Tower, Rescue, and the Fire Chief were on the scene for a house fire in the 100 block of Butternut Lane.

Fire crews assisted with various tasks on the fire ground to support suppression efforts before returning to town after midnight.
The first company was then back in action a few hours later.

Just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, the engine and chief were on the streets again, heading to the Snowball Gate section of the township for an accident with fire.
Companies arrived to find a single vehicle into a tree fully involved and went into service accordingly, fire officials said.
