Homeless Encampment Catches Fire In Bristol Township

The Levittown Fire Company No. 2 found the encampment burning on Friday morning.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A homeless encampment caught fire on Friday morning, but authorities said that no one was there at the time.

The Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Station 13 responded at 8:20 a.m. on Friday for a reported brush fire on Bristol Emilie Road behind the First Baptist Church.

Authorities said that no one was in the encampment and that fire crews extinguished the fire.

Meanwhile, fire crews also were dispatched with the Edgely Fire Company for a reported automobile accident with entrapment on Edgely Road at Curtis Avenue.

Authorities said the driver was out of the vehicle. The Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad took the driver to a local hospital for evaluation.
