House Fire Under Investigation In Bristol Twp.

The fire began early Friday morning on Tacoma Street. Eight Lower Bucks fire companies responded.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —A fire that ripped through a Tacoma Street fire early Friday morning is under investigation, fire officials said.

The Third District Fire Company responded to a report of a fire on the 1100 block of Tacoma Street at 3 a.m. Friday, Chief Howard McGoldrick said.

He said the initial report was that the homeowner was inside and refusing to leave the home. The chief said that there were also several vehicles in the driveway with locked doors.

“We made a very aggressive interior attack to get to the bedrooms,” McGoldrick said. But when fire crews for into the home, no one was inside, the chief said.

The fire was on the first floor and in the basement, McGoldrick said.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by 4:25 a.m.

He said the cause of the fire is under investigation by the township's fire marshal.

The Third District Fire Company was assisted by the America Hose, Hook, and Ladder; Bristol; Bristol Consolidated; Croydon; Edgely; Levittown No. 2; and the Newportville fire companies, the chief said.

Bensalem Township Emergency Medical Services and the Bucks County Rescue Squad were also at the scene.
