Langhorne Man Dead In Canal Drowning

The man's body was found floating in the Delaware Canal at about 10:25 a.m. on Thursday.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Police in Upper Makefield say a man from Langhorne was found dead from drowning in the Delaware Canal on Thursday.

According to police, officers were called at about 10:25 a.m. to the 1000 block of Taylorsville Road in the area of the canal. There, they found the body of a 73-year-old man they say was from Langhorne.

Police were not identifying the man Thursday afternoon, pending the notification of his family.

Police said in a news release that the death does not appear to be suspicious. They are currently investigating the official cause of death in the case.
