LEVITTOWN, PA — Schools and offices in Levittown area school districts were on a two-hour delay on Friday due to overnight snow and road conditions.
Neshaminy, Pennsbury and Bristol Township school districts all announced the late starts Friday due to the weather.
The districts made the announcements in an email and phone calls to parents early Friday morning.

The area was under a hazardous weather outlook early Friday, according to the National Weather Service, with an accumulation of snow expected to continue through the morning commute hours.
An even more significant storm system was forecast to hit the area Saturday and Sunday, with snow, mixed precipitation and heavy rain possible. Snow Saturday afternoon is expected to change to heavy rain Saturday night.

A period of freezing rain and sleet also is possible during the transition, according to the NWS. Rain is forecast to come to an end by late Sunday as a strong cold front moves through the area, leading to a quick refreezing of wet and slushy surfaces causing very icy conditions.
Dangerous wind chills also are in the forecast for Sunday night through Tuesday.
