Levittown Man Fired For Excessive Farting, Lawsuit Claims
Louann Clem says her husband's extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea caused by gastric bypass surgery caused his termination.

Louann Clem claims her husband was wrongfully fired by a Trenton pork roll maker for excessive gas she says he couldn’t control.
Clem, of Levittown, filed a federal lawsuit last month against Case Pork Roll Co.
She claims her husband, Rich, was wrongfully fired after having gastric bypass surgery that caused him to have “extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea,” nj.com reported.

Richard Clem weighed about 420 pounds when he began working at Case Pork Roll Co, the Philadelphia Inquirer said.
Clem worked alongside her husband, and claims the president of the company told her, “We have to do something about Rich.” She claims he said they couldn’t “run an office like this” and expose their customers to that odor, according to the nj.com report.

Rich Clem was ultimately fired on Feb. 28 of last year, nj.com said. His firing prompted Louann Clem to quit.
The suit, filed last month in U.S. District Court in Camden, says Case Pork Roll Co. violated the American’s with Disabilities Act and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination.
Clem is seeking unspecified damages, the Inquirer reported.
