Levittown Man, 24, Killed In Interstate 95 Crash
The man had crashed his car on the highway and then was struck by another vehicle after getting out to make a phone call, state police said.
LEVITTOWN, PA —A Levittown man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 95 last week after making a phone call following his own accident on the highway, State Police said.
Pennsylvania State Police have identified the man as 24-year-old Peter Sorochinski Jr, who was killed on I-95 South at about 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday near mile marker 20.8, and the on-ramp from Market Street, police said.
Police are searching for the vehicle that fatally struck him.

According to his obituary, Sorochinski left behind a fiance and daughter.
State Police said Sorochinski was driving in the left lane of Interstate 95 South when he struck the impact attenuator. His vehicle then crossed two lanes of travel, struck the concrete barrier on the right side of the highway, and came to rest in the merging lane.

Police said Sorochinski got out of his vehicle after suffering a suspected head injury. Another vehicle stopped, and its driver called 911 to report the crash and help Sorochinski.
The caller told police Sorochinski made a phone call and when he completed the call, suddenly stepped into traffic in the right southbound lane. He was immediately struck by an unknown make and model silver sedan, that drove off after striking him, police said.
Sorochinski's body was thrown into the road, where it was struck by two other vehicles. Those two vehicle operators remained on the scene, police said.
