Levittown Native Earns Lock Haven University Degree
Ashley M Lindenberger earns Bachelor of Science Degree.

Lock Haven University held its 2011 winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 17. University President Michael Fiorentino Jr. presented a total of 307 degrees to candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Education and Human Services.
Among those receiving degrees was Levittown native Ashley M. Lindenberger who earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

The event’s keynote speaker was Pennsylvania State Sen. John N. Wozniak from District 35. Wozniak was awarded the honorary Doctor of Public Service degree.
Wozniak’s address to the graduating body emphasized change and navigating it. He reminded the graduates that “life is change” and that “it is how we deal with change that reveals our character.” He added, "Education is not just about finding a job, but about creating a mind." He informed the graduates their LHU education has given them the tools needed to succeed in a highly competitive and ever-changing world. He concluded by complimenting the students on a job well done.

Founded in 1870, Lock Haven University is a public liberal arts university with 5,329 students from 29 states and 32 other countries. It offers 57 majors with 40 minors. Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth.
