Levittown Residents Sound Off on Safety Issues

We asked Patch Readers to share their biggest safety concerns in Levittown. Here's what they'd change.

Levittown, PA- Summer’s nearly here and with each walk in the park, day at the pool and backyard BBQ comes the risk of snakebites, drowning and fires, but don’t worry! There’s no reason to stay cooped up inside all season.

Patch put together a list of summer safety tips to keep you safe and having fun while the weather’s warm. Make sure to give snakes their distance and always swim with a buddy to stay carefree during the dog days.

Keeping these tips in mind, there are other possible dangers that affect Levittown residents year round.

We asked Patch Readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "Stop sign in front of super Wawa by the mall."
  • "Heroin"
  • "Completing Route 13!"
  • "Mill Creek and Edgley Road. There needs to be a turning light."
  • "Definitely the drugs"
  • "Burglary/vandalism"
  • "I am going to say drug addicts."
  • "Drugs, prostitution, properties that look like crap, bars, strip joints, homeless camps, junk cars and trash on streets"
  • "Drugs and unregulated so called recovery houses. Not the licensed ones but the cash cow owners who rent out rooms for cash in the name of recovery house."
  • "The lights on Mill Creek and Penn Valley. Why are the 2 lights set at the same time? Shouldn't the second have a delay?"
