Falls Twp Teen Charged With 40 Thefts From Cars: Police

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A Falls Township teen has been charged in connection with 40 thefts from cars in the Birch Valley, North Park, and Hedgerow Woods sections of the township, police announced Wednesday.

Danielle Fernandez, 19, was charged Tuesday. The combined estimated value of the stolen items was $14,000, police said.

Fernandez is the fourth person charged for this rash of thefts, which happened in November and December. Three juveniles have already been charged and one has pleaded guilty, according to police. Their names have not been released due to their ages.

Falls Township Police said additional charges will be filed against another adult pending DNA results.

Several pieces of recovered property have been returned to their owners but many items — including cellphones, jewelry, and gift cards — still remain at the police station. Anyone interested in submitting a claim should email j.vella@fallstwp.com or call (215) 949-9100, ext. 431.
