Levittown Woman Charged With Impersonating Dental Assistant
Rose Calese Horne of Middletown Township faces a preliminary hearing April 30 on 14 counts for not having a license, court records state.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A 44-year-old Middletown Township woman has been charged with impersonating a dental assistant, court records state.
Rose Calese Horne of the township's Levittown section was arraigned Friday before Bensalem District Judge Michael Gallagher on charges that include five counts of prohibited use of radiation source, which are second-degree felonies, three misdemeanor charges for falsely claiming to hold a professional occupation license, three counts of theft by deception under false pretension, and three counts of performing actions under false pretension, her court docket states.
She is being held in Bucks County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000 bail. Her court docket did not list legal representation.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office brought forth the charges, but a spokesman told Patch Monday they would defer to the local jurisdiction.
The woman worked for three dentists last year assisting with X-rays, setting up and handling instruments during procedures, and reviewing post-operative instructions with patients, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

The AG’s office opened an investigation into Horne in November after receiving a tip that she was performing dental assistant work and X-ray work without required licensing and certifications, the Courier reported.
Court records show that Horne has a long criminal record, including being on probation for similar charges out of Philadelphia.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Gallagher on April 30.
