Man Charged With Child Porn Possession In Falls Twp.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A 43-year-old township man has been charged with child pornography possession after showing a video of underage sex acts on Facebook, police said.

Richard Thomas Johnson Jr., of Viking Lane in the township's Levittown section faces charges of sexual abuse of children for dissemination of photos and film and possession of child pornography, Falls Township Police said.

He was preliminarily arraigned Friday morning by District Justice John T. Galloway and released on $750,000 unsecured bail with the non-monetary conditions of no contact with minors and no internet usage.

A court affidavit stated that Falls Township Police received 24 tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children between October 2022 and July 2023, related to suspected child porn that was on Facebook.

Police said 23 of the 24 reports were connected to Johnson’s account as a recipient, and one was him allegedly uploading a file that was sent to another person.

One file depicted an adult woman performing oral sex on a prepubescent male approximately 3-6 years old. The woman then places the boy's penis in her vagina and has sexual intercourse.

A second file depicts a man having vaginal intercourse with a prepubescent female approximately 10-12 years old.

Police said Johnson spoke frequently to the female in Facebook messages and had a conversation over a 2-minute and 16-second video of a 13-15-year-old having sexual intercourse with an adult woman that was uploaded on Dec. 8, 2022.

The conversation between the two in which Johnson discussed his first sexual experience at a young age.

Johnson had additional conversations with the female before and after the video was uploaded.

On Oct. 21, 2022, they talked about a group chat about "some videos of young girls."

A CyberTip on Oct. 21, 2022, contained a video upload of a pubescent female approximately 13-15 years old exposing her breasts and vagina.

On October 29, 2022, Johnson says, "I like the role play.. older mom and younger son... older man or younger girl."

A CyberTip on Dec. 12, 2022, said one video upload was of a prepubescent female approximately 9-11 years old having vaginal intercourse with an adult man. The female's breasts and vagina are exposed. Johnson had a conversation with the female about that video as well.

On Jan. 17, Falls Township detectives and Homeland Security special agents served a search warrant on Johnson's residence.

Police interviewed Johnson during the search warrant with another investigator.

Johnson said he knew why police were there and said he was in a group chat on Facebook and someone was sharing videos.

Johnson told police that he had viewed child pornography on Facebook Messenger.

The video Johnson said he saw was of a mother and her young son.

Johnson was asked by police if the child was 4 years old and he said, "I have no idea."

During the interview, Johnson said he talked to Mercy on Facebook. I asked if he sent her any child pornography and he said he showed her a video. I described the video of an 11-year-old having sex with an adult female and asked if that was the video. Johnson said he did not know.

Johnson's Samsung Galaxy was collected during the search warrant and it was later forensically downloaded. His phone contained messages with the woman on Facebook.
