BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A man was found dead inside his home in the township's Indian Creek section following a fire on Wednesday night, authorities said.

Emergency crews in Lower Bucks County responded to the Indian Creek section for a house fire in the 100 block of Indian Creek Drive shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Montco/Bucks Incident Page on Facebook reported.

Radio reports indicated a neighbor noticed smoke from the home with the resident still inside and unresponsive.

Firefighters from the Levittown Fire Company No. 2 arrived on the scene and located a bedroom fire out upon their arrival, with one victim found dead inside.

Bucks County Coroner Patti Campi said that her office responded to the scene.

According to Bristol Township Deputy Fire Marshal Alex DelVecchio, a family member of the man showed up at the residence and found smoke inside the home, Levittown Now reported.

DelVecchio ruled the fire accidental and caused by smoking. The man was the only person inside the home at the time of the fire.
