Man Guilty In Fatal Shooting Of Levittown Girlfriend: Officials

Ashley Davis of Levittown was killed with a metal air gun pellet in 2020, authorities said.

LEVITTOWN, PA —A man has been found guilty by a Mercer County jury for the 2020 shooting death of his girlfriend who lived in Levittown, authorities said.

Aaron Adams, 41, of Ewing Township, N.J., was found guilty of murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Mercer County (N.J.) Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Wednesday.

Around 6:30 p.m. on June 1, 2020, Ewing police received reports of a dead woman in a home on Glen Stewart Drive, Ewing.

On arrival, they found Ashley Davis, 32, of Levittown, in the basement of the home, Onofri said.

There were visible wounds to Davis’ body and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the execution of a search warrant at the home, two air rifles and a handheld BB gun were located in the same room as the victim’s body, according to authorities.

Numerous used bags of suspected heroin with various stamps were also found during the search, Onofri said.

Davis’ boyfriend, Adams, resided at the Glen Stewart home and was charged with a weapons offense. Davis’ death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy.

According to the investigation, Davis suffered a gunshot wound by a metal air gun pellet that struck internal organs and caused massive internal bleeding.

Adams’ sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 1, 2024. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, Onofri said.
