A local cook who twice used a kitchen knives during robberies has been sentenced to serve six to 12 years in prison.
According to information from the Bucks County District Attorney's office, Auprel K. McLean, 32, used a large butcher knife to rob Puff and Stuff in Morrisville in September.
It was the second time in a decade that McLean had used cutlery in crime. In 2010, McLean was sentenced to serve two to four years in prison for using a kitchen knife to rob a Chinese food deliverer in Bristol Township.

McLean, 32, a father of three, entered the store at 111 W. Bridge St. at about 6 p.m. on Sept. 10. He was wearing a white bandanna over his face and brandished a butcher knife, demanding cash.
He ran off with $1,610. However, the cashier recognized him, telling police he came in earlier that day to buy a cigar.

McHugh accepted a plea negotiation in which McLean pleaded guilty to robbery, aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime and received a six- to 12-year sentence in state prison.
McLean told authorities he was homeless when the crime occurred, but previously worked as a cook.
