Man Sets Himself On Fire, Critically Injured In Falls Twp.
Falls Township Police said the incident happened Thursday evening on Lincoln Highway near Route 1.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A Levittown man is in critical condition after setting himself on fire, police said.
Falls Township Police said that a passing motorist spotted the man in the 900 block of Lincoln Highway near Route 1 around 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the motorist saw the 49-year-old man douse himself with gasoline after which he lit himself on fire.

Various bystanders utilized garments to extinguish him, Lt. Chris Clark said.
The man was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center with critical injuries and was in the process of being flown to Jefferson Hospital, East Falls Campus, for additional treatment, police said.

Police did not state at this time what caused the man to set himself on fire.
"Based on our investigation we are satisfied it was an intentional act of self-harm," Clark said.
