Man Tried To Jump Off Route 1 Overpass: State Police
State Police at the Trevose Barracks said Monday that the man wanted to jump into Route 1 traffic at the Langhorne Manor overpass.
LANGHORNE MANOR, PA —A 25-year-old Langhorne man tried to commit suicide by attempting to jump off an overpass into northbound Route 1 traffic, state police said.
A report released Monday by State Police at the Trevose barracks said that police responded at 11 a.m. on Jan. 10 to the west interchange overpass of Route 1 for a man attempting to jump off the overpass.
State Police said that the man was placed into a police vehicle after surrounding police departments responded. The man explained to police why he wanted to end his life and was taken to Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol Township for further evaluation.

The Lenape Valley Crisis Center was contacted, state police said, and the man voluntarily admitted himself for mental evaluation, according to the state police report.
