Middletown Planners Mull 111-Unit Development On Woodbourne
Developers need multiple variances for the development, which would be near the SEPTA station and U.S. 1.
MIDDLETOWN, PA — Planners in Middletown will consider a plan for 111 apartment units in a development on Woodbourne Road near the SEPTA station.
The Middletown Township Planning Commission meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. to consider the proposal, by the Lennar Corporation of Hamilton, N.J. Developers need several variances approved by the township before they can build on the 16-acre site near the SEPTA station and U.S. 1.
The development would be called Lennar Orchards. Developers' plans include 508 parking spaces and about two acres of preserved land.

The planners will make a recommendation to the township's supervisors, who have ultimate say on approval of the variances. The project also must be approved by the state because Woodbourne is a state road.
The planning commission will meet at Middletown Municipal Building, at 3 Municipal Way.
