Middletown Township Police Reportedly Involved In Saturday Standoff

Middletown Township Police were involved in an hours-long standoff over the weekend that ended peacefully, according to multiple reports.

According to NBC10, a man barricaded himself in his Langhorne home Saturday afternoon for a bout eight hours.

The outlet reports police communicated with the man via text messages and when communication ceased, police entered the home and detained the man without incident.

6ABC reports police were tipped off to the man's condition after someone told police the man said he was going to hurt himself.

The outlet reports shots were fired from inside the home, which led the police presence to ramp up and bring in SWAT teams and armored trucks.
