Mill Creek Elementary Brings Sweet Dreams to Teens this Season

Sweet Dreams Day raised $1,909.73 in donations, which were presented to United Way of Bucks County.

Each year, hundreds of older kids and teens are forgotten during the holidays. While toy drives provide gifts to children, older children and teens are often left out. United Way’s Holiday Gift Card Drive solves this problem and ensures all children receive a gift this Christmas.

To support United Way’s campaign, Mill Creek Elementary hosted Sweet Dreams Day, a pajama day for students who donated to the drive. Students bought raffle tickets (one for $2 or three for $5) to participate in pajama day, enjoy a movie and be entered to win an Amazon gift card. All money from the raffle benefited United Way’s Holiday Gift Card Drive.

Student Council members counted the money after school on December 13 in hopes to reach $1,000. They surpassed their goal by almost double and raised $1,909.73.
