Mom Left Kids, 7 And 9, Alone For More Than A Day: Falls Twp PD
Police say the woman was gone for more than 24 hours and that her daughter knocked on the door of a neighbor.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A woman has been arrested in Falls Township after police say she left her children, ages 7 and 9, alone for more than 24 hours.
Sarah Amanda Grace, 28, of Levittown, was arrested Nov. 2 and charged with endangering the welfare of children. According to police, officers were called to an apartment complex on Mill Creek Road at about 8:13 p.m. on Aug. 3.
There, the caller told officers that a 9-year-old girl carrying three backpacks knocked on the door. The caller brought the girl inside and called police. Investigators soon learned the girl and her 7-year-old brother had been abandoned for an entire day, and then some, by Grace, police say.

According to investigators, Grace's cellphone records show that she left home at about noon on Aug. 2. She went to Trenton, N.J., then to Princeton, N.J. and, finally to Delaware. She didn't leave Delaware until about 10 p.m. the following day, police said, and had not returned home by midnight that night.
According to court records, Grace was released Nov. 2 on an unsecured $10,000 bail. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in magisterial district court on Dec. 19.
