More Details Unveiled In Lower Bucks Co. Rape

A 51-year-old Bristol Township man sexually assaulted a girl when she was 10 in the township, court records state.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —The 51-year-old Bristol Township man charged with the rape of a girl faces 17 charges, according to court records.

Carlos Navedo has been identified as the man involved in the crime. He was preliminarily arraigned by District Judge Kevin Wagner Tuesday afternoon.

Among the charges Navedo faces include the rape of a child, rape by forcible compulsion, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, corruption of minors, and obscene sexual materials, among others.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, a 12-year-old girl reported recently to Bristol Township Police that she had sexual contact with an adult.

The criminal complaint was provided to Patch by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

On Monday, authorities interviewed the girl who said that Navedo had raped her at least once and sexually assaulted her other times, the affidavit said.

The girl said the incident happened when she was around 10 or 11 years old and in Bristol Township, according to police.

The girl said she awoke once to find herself being touched in private areas by the man, according to court records.

Police alleged in court papers that Navedo had shown the girl videos of people performing sex acts.
