Morrisville Woman Facing DUI Charges After Striking Middletown Police Cruiser Tuesday Night
An officer was responding to a disabled vehicle on Route 1 when the cruiser was struck from behind.

A Morrisville woman is facing multiple charges including driving under the influence after striking a stopped police cruiser Tuesday night on Route 1, according to court documents and Middletown Township Police.
Holly Chamberlain, 31, of Morrisville, has been charged with recklessly endangering another person, five separate DUI charges, simple assault, disorderly conduct, reckless driving, careless driving, failing to change lanes for emergency vehicles, failing to drive at a safe speed when passing an emergency vehicle, and driving without insurance, court records show.
Chamberlain was arraigned Wednesday morning and remanded to the Bucks County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail, court records show. Her preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 5, according to court documents.

Middletown Police said an officer responded to a disabled vehicle on Route 1 at about 10:28 p.m.
As the disabled vehicle was being towed from the scene and the officer was about to leave the scene, Chamberlain struck the cruiser from behind, police said.

Police said the officer suffered only minor injuries, saying the extent of the injuries was "bumps and bruises."
