Multi-Vehicle Crash On Route 1 Causes Traffic Delays
PennDOT said there was an overturned truck in a construction work zone for the Route 1 Improvements Project.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —A multi-vehicle crash clogged southbound Route 1 during Wednesday morning's commute, PennDOT said.
The cause of the crash was an overturned vehicle in a work zone, where PennDOT is making improvements on the Route 1 widening project, said Brad Rudolph, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Levittown Now reported the crash happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday on Route 1 southbound by the new bridge over the rail line near the Neshaminy Creek.

PennDOT cameras of the Route 1 construction zone showed a damaged SUV and a dump truck and a tractor-trailer pulled over on the side of the highway.
Rudolph said the crash was cleared just before 10:30 a.m. He did not know if there were any injuries.
