Nearly 160 Students To Walk In PBU Commencement

Philadelphia Biblical University's own Dr. John Master will be the featured speaker.

Nearly 160 students will walk in the Philadelphia Biblical University spring commencement ceremony.

The ceremony takes place in the Mason Activity Center gymnasium on PBU’s campus at 200 Manor Avenue in Langhorne. It will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21.

Dr. John Master, who has served in PBU’s School of Bible and Ministry since 1987, will be the featured speaker.

In addition to his regular duties of teaching and mentoring students, Master has served as one of the three members of the Academic Leadership Team (“Dean Team”) that oversaw undergraduate academic affairs during a vacancy in the office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, according to a news release.

Master attended Haverford School, Princeton University and completed his study at Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M., Th.D.). Prior to coming to PBU, he has worked at Dallas Seminary, Word of Life Bible Institute and Baptist Bible College and School of Theology.

In addition to writing and editing multiple books, Master has served in several interim pastorates and is currently an elder at First Baptist Church of Wycombe.
