Neshaminy High School Placed On Lockdown
Neshaminy High School was closed for a half hour Wednesday as a precaution due to a nearby police incident, school officials said.

LANGHORNE, PA —Neshaminy High School was placed on lockdown for a short time Wednesday morning due to a nearby police incident, school officials said.
The lockdown took place as a precaution at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in response to a police incident in the community in the vicinity of the high school, said Chris Stanley, community relations coordinator for the district.
He said the lockdown was lifted before 11 a.m.

Stanley said that the incident did not involve any Neshaminy High School students and staff.
High School Principal Stephen Garstka sent a message to parents alerting them about the lockdown.

Last May, bomb threats forced the evacuation of the high school for two straight days.
In one incident, the evacuation lasted an hour. In the other incident, the high school was evacuated for several hours. Two students were also taken into custody in one of the incidents.
The new school year started the Thursday before the Labor Day holiday for high schoolers.
