Neshaminy Seeking Applicants For Free Preschool Program

Find out how you can qualify for FREE preschool for your child.

Neshaminy School District will offer the Pre-K Counts program in the district for qualifying families to provide a free quality preschool education for children that will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2017.

Neshaminy Pre-K Counts is planning two locations for the 2017-2018 school year. The first will be the Lower Southampton Early Learning Center (the former Lower Southampton Elementary School) in Feasterville, and the second location will be Albert Schweitzer Elementary School in Levittown. Families are responsible for their own transportation to and from school each day.

This is a full-day program (approximate hours from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm, five days a week) and will be managed by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit. Class sizes are small (17 students), each staffed by a highly-qualified teacher and an aide who will deliver a curriculum that allows children to grow academically and socially.

The program is designed to help working families. The financial eligibility requirements are surprisingly generous. A family of four, for example, can have a household income of up to $73,800 and still qualify for Pre-K Counts (reportable income is based on 2016 Federal tax returns). For full eligibility guidelines and more information, please visit the Neshaminy Pre-K Counts website:www.neshaminy.org/pkc or email Neshaminy Pre-Counts program coordinator Dr. Christine McKee at cmckee@neshaminy.org.

Pre-K Counts is a grant-funded program from the State of Pennsylvania. Families are urged to sign up as soon as possible to ensure availability once the grant is secured.
