Neshaminy School Director Cyndie Bowman tendered her resignation Tuesday. The school district is seeking applicants to replace her.

LANGHORNE, PA —The Neshaminy School District has accepted the resignation of one of its school board members.

At the school board's work session on Tuesday, the school board accepted the resignation of School Director Cyndie Bowman. Her resignation was effective on Tuesday.

The school board has set a deadline for the submission of letters of interest and/or resumes to be considered for the appointment of the vacancy from Region 1 on the Board of Directors by no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

The letters should be sent to: Neshaminy School District, Superintendent’s Office, Attn: Board President, c/o Board Secretary, 2250 Langhorne-Yardley Road, Langhorne, PA 19047.

Interviews of candidates (if deemed necessary by the Board) and the appointment is expected to take place at the school board's 7 p.m. meeting on Feb. 6, at the Neshaminy School District Administrative Offices Board Room, Maple Point Middle School Complex, 2250 Langhorne-Yardley Road, Langhorne, PA 19047.

The submission must be submitted via hand delivery to the Superintendent’s office, or by first-class U.S. Mail, but must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

All submissions shall be time and date stamped upon receipt and distributed to the Board. These procedures for submission shall be posted on the District website.

Two new school board members were sworn in last month.They were Beth Marshall and Jill Waldbeiser.

The school board is comprised Marshall and Waldbeiser, School Board President Marty Sullivan, Vice President Tina Hollenbach, Carlos Rodriguez, Alicia Lafferty, John Allen, and Kellen Sporny.
