Neshaminy School Plants Flags For Veterans

The Carl Sandburg Middle School displayed the flags to support Veterans Day.

LANGHORNE, PA —Students at the Carl Sandburg Middle School have honored veterans.

Over 300 flags were planted in front of the school in honor of Veterans Day on Monday.

Throughout October, students and staff collected donations for Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting disabled veterans.

This year, Sandburg students, faculty, staff, and community members raised over $1,600 for DAV.

In recognition, DAV provided the flags for the display.

This year’s display includes both new flags and those from last year, with over 40 flags specially dedicated to individual veterans by members of the Sandburg community.
