Oxford Valley Golf Course Reopens After Fire

The clubhouse of the Bucks County-owned golf course in Falls Township was damaged by an electrical fire Tuesday.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —Fore for Friday.

The Oxford Valley Golf Course —closed since Wednesday due to a suspected electrical fire —reopened Friday morning, Bucks County officials said.

The course was closed Wednesday and Thursday after the fire damaged its clubhouse.

The Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office believes the fire was the result of an electrical malfunction, as it appears to have started where wires for telephone and cable service enter the building.

While the course itself was not impacted by the fire, it remained closed until a temporary office was put in place.

The 46-acre golf course is part of the Bucks County Parks and Recreation Department and is operated by Spirit Golf Management, which runs other public golf courses in the area.
