PBU Art Exhibits Open To Public
The community is invited to visit this collection Monday through Friday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Philadelphia Biblical University is hosting a variety of new art exhibits on its campus open to the public, according to a news release.
The community is invited to visit this collection Monday through Friday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Guests are asked to register at PBU’s Smith Administration Building -- South Entrance at 200 Manor Avenue in Langhorne. PBU and White Stone Gallery are in partnership presenting the exhibit.
Ten Series by Joey Tomassoni will be available from now through December. Tomassoni is known for his unusual exhibits. According to the news release, Tomassoni breaks the rules and does things in unconventional ways. He has even been known to set his artwork on fire for impact. And by challenging viewers he's had an impact on the communities he's come in contact with. The pieces in this series are acrylic on concrete.
Force of the Spirit by Kim Daus is available from now through Feb. 17. The images in this exhibit have been taken over the past 25 years in over 25 countries. According to the news release, none of the photographs were staged and they were all taken with a hand-held 35 mm Nikon 5005 using natural lighting.
Mary Barton Nees Exhibit will be available from now through December. Her work is primarily abstract, rooted in a personal visual vocabulary exploring themes of mortality, the fragility of time and position, brokenness and Biblical hope. The pieces in this exhibit are collograph.
