Pedestrian Hit By SUV On Bristol Pike: Police

A 50-year-old man is in critical condition after the collision, which happened Thursday morning in Bristol Township.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A 50-year-old man was in critical condition on Thursday after being hit by an SUV while he was crossing Bristol Pike.

Bristol Township Police responded to a report of a crash at 5:59 a.m. Thursday in the 6300 block of Bristol Pike. There, they say officers learned that a man was crossing the roadway in an area that did not have a pedestrian crossing when he was struck by a gold Chevy Equinox that was traveling north.

Police say the man was critically injured and taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital for treatment. They were not identifying the man Thursday afternoon, saying he is a 50-year-old from New Jersey.

The driver, a 35-year-old woman from Bensalem, stopped and cooperated with investigators, police said.
