Pedestrian Killed On I-95 In Bucks County Identified

Authorities have not said why the 18-year-old was in the roadway at the time he was hit and killed.

A pedestrian who was struck and killed on I-95 in Bucks County early Saturday morning has been identified as Wayne Mears, 18, of Philadelphia.

Authorities have not said why Mears was in the roadway.

Mears was walking in a southbound lane just south of the Street Road exit in Bensalem when he was hit and killed around 3:30 a.m. that morning, Pennsylvania State Police told NBC10.

The cause of death was ruled accidental by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

The accident closed part of the roadway for several hours.
