Penndel Food Pantry Gets 1,790 Lb. Donation

The Upper Makefield Volunteer Fire Company recently donated nearly 1,800 pounds of food and supplies to the Penndel Food Pantry.

According to the local fire company, members delivered 1,790 pounds to the Bucks County food pantry on Tuesday.

The donations came from the annual Kiwanis Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington Crossing on Nov. 25 and the annual Santa Claus parade through the township on Dec.18, according to a Facebook post by the organization.

The fire company thanked all the donors.

"It takes a village..and this village was very generous," the post said.
