Pennsbury Business Administrator Receives Top State Honor
Pennsbury chief financial officer Chris Berdnik has received Pennsylvania's top honor for a school business official.

FALLSINGTON, PA —The Pennsbury School District's chief financial officer has received the highest honor the state awards for a school business official.
Chris Berdnik has received the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials' (PASBO) 2023 Gary Reeser Memorial Award.
"Mr. Berdnik's exceptional work as a school business official and engagement with the school district and students make him a well-deserving winner of PASBO's highest recognition," Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith said.

The Gary E. Reeser Memorial Award is given to an individual who has exemplified professionalism, leadership, and innovation in the field of school business management.
Berdnick received the award recently at PASBO's 68th Annual Conference in Pocono Manor.

In addition to being chief financial officer, Berdnik also serves as coach of the high school's award-winning speech and debate team.
The Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials is a statewide association of 4,000 members, providing professional development, peer-to-peer networking, and showcasing best practices in school business, according to its website.
