“This type of exercise, when conducted on such a large scale, helps to simulate real-life events and proves invaluable to local agencies and to the public,” said Sherwood Taylor, Pennsbury Director of Administrative Services. “The Pennsbury School Board asked for us to initiate this important drill. Follow-up discussions afterwards will help us to fine-tune our response activity and protocols.”
The Falls Township Police Department has announced two public information meetings about procedures involved in handling such incidents, in addition to preventing them.
The first meeting was held on February 20; another session is planned for 4 p.m. on Monday, March 13 at the Falls Township Community Meeting Room, 188 Lincoln Highway.
All Pennsbury parents and interested community members are invited to attend.
