Kevin J. McHugh has announced he will retire at the end of the school year.

Pennsbury School District Superintendent Kevin J. McHugh has announced he will retire at the end of the school year.
McHugh has been an educator for 38 years. He is in his fifth year as Pennsbury’s superintendent.
He notified the Board of School Directors this week of his plans to retire.

“Making the decision to leave this profession, which I love so much, has been one of the hardest things I have ever done,” Dr. McHugh said in an email to his colleagues. “I so value the work and friendship that we have enjoyed together.”
Board President Gary Sanderson expressed his appreciation to McHugh.

“Dr. McHugh is an accomplished leader who has achieved national recognition during his distinguished career,” Sanderson said. “We appreciate his skilled and inspiring managerial abilities. As Superintendent, Dr. McHugh has moved the District forward in many important ways, from the achievement of national recognition for our District and schools to upgrades in many of our systems and technology.”
