UPDATE: Pennsbury Approves Teacher Contract During Wednesday Night Meeting
The Pennsbury School Board considered a contract with the Pennsbury Education Association during a meeting Wednesday.

UPDATE: 11 p.m. -- The Pennsbury School Board approved the contract with the Pennsbury Education Association during Wednesday's meeting. The vote was unanimous, the Courier Times reported.

Last week, the district announced it had reached a tentative agreement with the Pennsbury Education Association. The PEA includes 848 certified personnel, including teachers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, behavior analysts, and librarians.
The deal, retroactive to July 1, includes pay increases, a health care plan change and some changes in contract language, according to information shared by the district. You can see the full details here.

Representatives from both parties have met regularly since February 2016 to engage in collective bargaining, the district explained.
The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Fallsington Elementary School.
