BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —Karen Cagnetti had just delivered pizza to a friend on Old Orchard Lane Tuesday evening when she saw a collision and a motorcycle burst into flames.

The Little Rocky's Pizza delivery driver sprung into action, pulling a man from the burning bike and saving his life, the Third District Fire Company's chief said. See the video below.

"I would say she saved his life," Fire Chief Howard McGoldrick told Patch Wednesday afternoon. "It burned pretty bad. It's one of those things the average person is not accustomed to. She did the right thing."

Cagnetti, who has been on the job at the Bristol pizza place for the past few months, told Patch Wednesday that she had made the delivery to a home on the corner of Old Orchard Lane and Fayette Drive when the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

"I heard the slam and quickly looked that way," she said. "The bike caught on fire almost instantly. I ran over and pulled him from it."

McGoldrick said he didn't expect to see the motorcycle on fire as the fire company was dispatched to assist the Bucks County Rescue Squad with the accident.

"We pulled up and I saw smoke," the chief said. "And then I saw the motorcycle on fire."

The motorcyclist was injured and his bike was destroyed after it caught fire following a collision with a van, the chief said. He said the van driver was not hurt.

McGoldrick said the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for head trauma and burns.

Cagnetti said she burned her arm a little bit. She also doesn't want to be called a hero.

"I think anybody would have done the same thing," she said. "I saw somebody who was hurt and needed help. I stayed calm until the paramedics arrived and then I cried. I was shaken up over it."
