Police Officer Rescues Woman From Delaware River Suicide Attempt

A Morrisville officer reportedly pulled the woman from her car​ after she drove it into the river in the suicide attempt Thursday.

A woman who was attempting suicide in the Delaware River in Morrisville was recused by a police officer Thursday afternoon, according to a report by NJ.com

A Morrisville officer pulled the woman from her car after she drove it into the river in the suicide attempt around 12:30 p.m., the report said. The officer reportedly had no trouble getting the woman, a Morrisville resident who was otherwise not identified, out of her sinking car and to safety.

The incident was reported near East Philadelphia and South Delmorr avenues.
