Murphy attempted to stop the Challenger, however it began to pass vehicles into oncoming traffic at high speeds on West Trenton Avenue.

The Challenger then went onto US Route 13 South where it was fleeing at a high rate of speed, police said.

The Challenger ultimately made its way onto North Oxford Valley Road where it attempted to pass traffic on the shoulder and struck another uninvolved vehicle that was trying to clear the roadway.

The motorist of the struck vehicle reported no injuries, police said.

The pursuit was terminated when the Challenger turned onto a highly populated Route 1 South.

Murphy's investigation determined the driver was Robert Hoenigke. A felony arrest warrant was obtained at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
