Levittown Man Wanted For $30K Telephone Wire Theft, Trespassing: Police
The man was carrying a machete as he rode through private property with stolen Verizon wire in a baby carriage, said police.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Falls Township have charged a Levittown man after they say he trespassed at a members-only club and stole wiring from telephone poles, and are seeking to arrest him.
Police have a warrant for the arrest of 33-year-old Lee S. Dionne, and are asking the public for information on his whereabouts. He is suspected of riding a bicycle through an outdoor recreation facility in Falls Township with $30,000 worth of stolen wire, and trespassing, said police.
Court records show that a Falls Township police officer went to the Penn Warner Club in Morrisville for the report of a suspicious person on March 2 at 10:45 a.m. The property manager said that the person, a man riding a silver bike with a child's stroller behind it, did not stop when she asked him to. The woman took the man's picture with her cell phone, and told him she would call police, records show.

He rode away and then jumped off the bike before running into the woods, said police. The stroller was covered with red cloth, and the responding officer found "a large amount of multi-colored wiring" inside, as well as a machete strapped to the bike.
Police searched for the suspect but did not find him. The reporting officer said he believed the suspect was using the machete to cut wires from nearby telephone poles, strip insulation, and sell it for scrap.

Later, Verizon Wireless employees in the area of 1001 New Ford Mill Road reported a theft of wires from a pole, court records show. The employees were able to confirm that the wire found in the baby carriage was the same wire stolen from Verizon, and told police the value of the wiring was $30,000.
Police identified Dionne as a suspect based on the photo, and said Monday that he is wanted on charges of receiving stolen property (a grade 3 felony), and two counts of defiant trespasser.
