Record-Breaking Call Year For Bristol Fire Station

The Bristol Consolidated Fire Station 50 said it handled the most emergency calls in three decades in 2023.

BRISTOL, PA —It was a record-breaking year for the Bristol Consolidated Fire Station 50 last year.

Volunteers from Station 50 responded to a total of 331 Dispatched Emergencies last year —the highest amount of calls responded to since the 1990s, fire officials said.

  • 10 working fires (2 multiple alarms)
  • 1 out-of-county Tech-Rescue Assist
  • 3 out-of-state Accidents
  • 1 out-of-state Cover Assignment
  • 5 Water Rescues
  • 2 Auto Extrications
  • 1 Auto Accident with Fire
  • 1 RIT call

The fire station also put a new marine unit in service in the past year.

Fire officials said the training was constant, with members completing Firefighter-1, RIT Training, Water Rescue Training, Auto Extrication Training, and many other topics.

Duty Crews were held at least 3/4 times a month, with apparatus checks and other things being completed.

Total man hours for 2023 was just under 4,000, fire officials said.
